Fedro Infocar homepage, the real site of FEDRO.INFOCAR, a federation of Romanian mutual aid credit unions

FEDRO.INFOCAR is the federation of Romanian mutual aid credit unions (Case de Ajutor Reciproc), founded in 2025 and now a direct member of the World Council of Credit Unions. As a newly established federation, it needed a website built from the ground up that could give its legal status, members, standards, and international activity a clear institutional home from the beginning.

We proposed building the site in Breakdance, with performance and long-term maintainability in mind from the first stage of development. Its lightweight frontend gives us much more control over page weight and responsive behaviour, while the visual editing experience also makes future text, image, and layout changes straightforward enough to be handled internally when needed.

The Challenge

FEDRO.INFOCAR was starting with a blank slate, but the website already needed to accommodate several different types of institutional information. It had to:

  • Present the federation’s legal foundation, registration details, and leadership clearly
  • Give nine affiliated credit unions their own place while preserving each organisation’s identity
  • Communicate its direct membership in the World Council of Credit Unions and wider international activity
  • Organise governance, financial, and reporting standards for an audience of member institutions
  • Provide a structure that can continue growing with assemblies, workshops, conferences, and federation updates
  • Remain modern, responsive, lightweight, and easy to maintain as the federation develops

What We Built for FEDRO.INFOCAR

The homepage establishes the federation’s position immediately, including its direct membership in the World Council of Credit Unions, alongside the institutional information needed to understand who FEDRO.INFOCAR represents and where it sits within the wider credit-union movement.

The About page documents the federation’s legal foundation in detail, including the court decision granting legal personality, its tax identification details, and the named Board of Directors responsible for leading the organisation.

The Members page brings together all nine affiliated credit unions, several with decades of activity behind them. Each member is clearly identified within the federation without reducing the organisations to a generic logo grid.

The Standards section gives governance, financial, and reporting principles their own structured space, including the PEARLS framework used by member credit unions to monitor financial performance. The content is organised for an institutional audience rather than simplified into consumer-facing financial copy.

The Events section was built as a chronological archive that can continue expanding with the federation. It already covers milestones from the first General Assembly and acceptance into the World Council of Credit Unions through to the federation’s delegation attending the WOCCU conference in Sydney.

Built to Be Managed, Not Worked Around

Because the website was being created from scratch, we could make performance and maintainability part of the foundation instead of trying to optimise around an inherited theme or builder setup later. Breakdance allowed us to keep the frontend lean while still building the responsive layouts and institutional presentation the project required.

It also leaves FEDRO.INFOCAR with a practical editing environment after launch. Routine changes to copy, imagery, events, and page sections can be made without rebuilding templates or depending on an unnecessarily complex stack for small frontend updates.

Affiliated CARs also have access to a separate, login-gated FEDRO.INFOCAR Member Portal, restricted to authenticated members for legal opinions, legislative updates, and peer discussion. One of the nine affiliated organisations, CAR Credit Teiuș, also has its own website built by us.

The Result

A new institutional website built on a lightweight Breakdance foundation, with the federation’s legal status, members, standards, international affiliations, and ongoing activity organised within a clear and responsive structure. Just as importantly, the setup is designed to remain easy to extend and manage internally as FEDRO.INFOCAR grows.
