Visual Turfs homepage, the real site of a Benelux ground-printing company using AirPrint and ColorPrint technology

Visual Turfs is a Belgian ground-printing company bringing patented AirPrint technology and full-color ColorPrint solutions to the Benelux market, with clients including MLB, MLS, PGA, Paris Saint-Germain, and Leicester City.

The website was initially developed in English, with Breakdance chosen from the start for its combination of performance, design flexibility, and straightforward editing. The brief was to create a modern, responsive site that could later be handed over to the Visual Turfs team for routine content updates without requiring a developer for every small change.

The Challenge

Visual Turfs offers several technologies that may look similar at first glance but work in very different ways. The website needed to make those distinctions easy to understand while giving each service enough space to explain its technical advantages.

  • Explain paint-free AirPrint and full-color ColorPrint without blurring the two technologies together
  • Separate grass printing, floor printing, and robotic line marking into distinct service areas
  • Present technical details such as GPS/RTK precision, print resolution, and paint consumption in an accessible way
  • Give stadiums, event organisers, sports clubs, and brands a clear route toward requesting a quote
  • Leave the client with a WordPress setup they could comfortably maintain after launch

What We Built for Visual Turfs

The homepage introduces the two core technologies immediately: patented AirPrint, exclusive to Visual Turfs in the Benelux, alongside ColorPrint. It also brings forward the company’s work with organisations including MLB, MLS, PGA, Paris Saint-Germain, and Leicester City.

The AirPrint page explains the paint-free process step by step — from project consultation and a field-scaled design preview through to on-site printing using air alone, without chemicals or damage to the turf.

GrassPrinting has its own dedicated page for full-color ColorPrint technology on turf, including how the process uses up to 50% less paint than traditional methods and gradually disappears as the grass is mowed.

FloorPrinting is treated as a separate solid-surface service, with specifications such as resolution up to 2400 dpi and support for materials ranging from concrete and wood to epoxy resin.

Line Marking has its own page for the robotic, GPS/RTK-guided service, explaining how a football pitch can be re-marked in roughly 30 minutes once its coordinates have been recorded.

From English to Three Languages

The first version launched in English. Later, as Visual Turfs wanted to address a broader local and regional audience, we added complete Dutch and French versions, making the same services accessible across the three main languages relevant to its market.

Built for Handover

Breakdance was also a good fit because the website was never intended to remain dependent on us for day-to-day maintenance. Once handed over, the Visual Turfs team can edit text, replace images, update existing sections, and publish new articles directly through the visual editor.

At the same time, the builder lets us keep the frontend lean enough for a website that relies heavily on large imagery and visual examples of the technology in use.

The Result

A trilingual website that gives AirPrint, GrassPrinting, FloorPrinting, and Line Marking their own clear place, presents the technical differences between them without overcomplicating the experience, and leaves Visual Turfs with a site they can continue managing internally after launch.
