The website needed to make that answer available immediately, without forcing every visitor to request a quote first.
The Challenge
Pricing a custom countertop depends on several variables, so a simple price-per-meter label would not have been enough. The website needed to turn those variables into something visitors could calculate for themselves.

What We Built for Blaturi de Bucătării
Built with Breakdance and WooCommerce, the website is organised around the actual quartz colours available to customers. The kitchen collection includes finishes such as Tenera, Crystal Carrara, Carrara Oro, Calcatta Riviera, Thunder, and Majestic Brown, alongside a separate selection for bathroom countertops.
Each product page also carries its own technical information, including the collection, supplier, slab dimensions, finish, material, and colour, so visitors can compare options before asking for a measurement or quotation.
The main feature is a custom JavaScript price calculator built directly into every product page. Instead of keeping a separate base price inside the calculator, it reads the current WooCommerce product price from the page itself. This means that when a product price changes, the calculator continues to use the same value automatically.
Visitors enter the countertop length and depth, choose the thickness and any additional options, and receive an estimated total immediately. The calculation applies different coefficients depending on depth and thickness, then adds the selected extras according to their own pricing rules.
The extras required different calculation rules as well. Sink and drainer options are added as fixed amounts, while the edge profile is calculated according to the countertop length. Keeping those rules separate allows the estimate to reflect the way each option is actually priced rather than treating every extra the same way.
Not every visitor arrives with a specific quartz colour already selected, so we also created a simpler quotation path. Instead of going through the complete product calculator, visitors can provide their contact details, approximate countertop length, and preferred colour family to start the conversation with a rough requirement.
The website also explains the material itself.
